Industrial agriculture is a form of farming that refers to the industrialized production of livestock, poultry, fish, and crops. It is basically mass producing animals and crops. What the farmers do to the animals is give them growth hormones and speed up the process of their growth so they become so big they cannot walk. The animals are cramped in huge long houses with upwards to 300,000 animals. After being slaughtered they are pumped with “safe” chemicals to make them taste better to the consumer. Not only are the animals being tortured but the environment is too. The slaughter houses are polluting the atmosphere and stripping the land of its natural vegetation. There is only one way to stop these horrible things from going on, which is eat organic foods and plant organic gardens. The farmers who raise only organic meats and chickens are not polluting the atmosphere and they are not torturing the animals. The foods are free from chemicals and are not dangerous. If we all act now we can reverse the horrible things the big companies have done. Not only can we save the animals but we can save the environment.

Decision Making Models
Brian Sundberg
One decision making model that I found is called the rational decision making model. The steps to it include, define the situation/decision to be made, identify the important criteria for the process and the result, consider all possible solutions, calculate the consequences of these solutions versus the likelihood of satisfying the criteria, and choose the best option. The other decision making model that I found is called the 5-Step Decision Making Model. The steps to it include, state the problem, identify alternatives, evaluate the alternatives, make a decision, and implement your decision.
All four decision making are similar but they are also unique in their own way. They all encourage you to think over all of your possibilities and make sure you pick the right one. Since both the G.R.E.A.T. Decision Making Model and the 5-Step Decision Making Model are so similar I think both are equally as effective. They both require you to lay-out all of your choices and think them all over, and pick the choice that is right.

All about ME
Brian Sundberg
I am Sixteen years old and a sophomore at Fairview. Some of my activities are swimming, playing guitar, listening to music, watching movies, and being active. I spend most of my free time outside with friends and with my friends. I am a member of the Men’s swim team here at Fairview, and I enjoy it very much. I also like to take bike rides with my friends. I have recently just got my driving permit and I enjoy driving. I am employed at Kahkwa Country Club Snack Bar where I spend my summer flipping burgers and making delicious hotdogs. Personally, I am not a fan of blogging. I find it very confusing and hard. What I hope to get out of this class is to learn fun sports and learn how the body moves and works. What I see myself doing in 3 years is in college. After college I wish to pursue a medical career so I can become an Anesthesiologist. I hope to find a good paying job in the medical field.
