I cannot ever see any drug ever being legal to the open population. Only under certain circumstances can I see it be legalized. The only way I can see marijuana ever being legal is for medical reasons. In California right now they have a law that allows some people lo have a "marijuana license." This lets people who are terminally ill or recovering from a serious injury/sickness to posses marijuana. I agree with this law 100%. It makes the patient comfortable and possibly lets them have an easy recovery. I think this law should be expanded to all 50 states. Other than that one circumstance I can't imagine having any illegal drug made legal anytime soon.

Agricultural Subsidy
Brian Sundberg
A government subsidy can be defined as a subsidy paid to farmers and agribusinesses to supplement their income. The United States currently pays around $20 billion per year to farmers in direct subsidies as "farm income stabilization." I think overall it's a very good thing. It keeps American jobs here and it prevents some local farms from going under. It helps farms in the short run because it keep them a float and prevents them from going under. It also affects them in the long run. A bumper sticker that I once saw comes to mind. The bumper sticker said "without farms there will be no food." By giving farmers money they are able to expand their crop supply. They are then directly able to supply more food to the markets. I think agricultural subsidies are a good thing that everyone should support.

Food Inc.
This movie that we watched was very gross and disgusting but a movie everyone should watch. It shows us an inside view of where our food comes from and makes us think twice about picking up that Big Mac. I don't think its right that our head of the FDA was once the president of a big company like Monsanto. Its also not right that illegal immigrants are being arrested and not the people that hire them. This video makes me think twice about the foods I eat. We try to but from local farmers market and only buy grass fed beef. This is a great movie that everyone should watch!
